\u00a0In 2025 we celebrate an important milestone: 15 years of Gemini Augenlaser in Vienna. This anniversary gives us the perfect opportunity to look back at the journey we have taken together and to recall the most important moments and firsts that have shaped our practice.<\/span><\/p>\n

From the early beginnings to a firm place in the center of Vienna<\/b><\/p>\n

When we started in Vienna fifteen years ago, it was an ambitious step in expanding the Gemini eye clinic concept. Over time, the practice grew \u2013 in terms of staff, technology, and space. Throughout the years we moved to new premises or modernized them in order to offer an ever higher level of care and comfort to our patients.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, Gemini Augenlaser Vienna is located at Opernring 1, on the seventh floor \u2013 directly opposite the Vienna State Opera. Thanks to this central location in the heart of the city, we are able to offer laser vision correction in an easily accessible setting with a truly unique view.<\/span><\/p>\n

Technological progress and the first ReLEx Smile surgery in Vienna<\/b><\/p>\n

During these 15 years, we have not only grown but also continuously innovated. One of the most significant milestones was performing the first ReLEx Smile procedure in Vienna. This gentle, minimally invasive method allows the correction of myopia and astigmatism without creating a corneal flap \u2013 instead, a small incision is made through which a lenticule is removed, correcting the refractive error.<\/span><\/p>\n

We were the first practice in Vienna and the surrounding region to offer this innovative method.<\/span><\/p>\n

Important milestones and personal stories<\/b><\/p>\n

In addition to technological innovations, it is the people who make Gemini Augenlaser what it is \u2013 both colleagues and patients. Over the years, we have celebrated numerous team and personal anniversaries (birthdays, work anniversaries), which strengthen cohesion and add a human dimension to our practice.<\/span><\/p>\n

For example, our colleague Dr. Eva D\u00e4nemark, MBA is also celebrating 15 years at Gemini this year \u2013 a meaningful anniversary that coincides with that of our Vienna practice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Looking ahead<\/b><\/p>\n

The 15-year celebration is not just about looking back \u2013 it is also a call to the future. Our goal is to continue improving patient care, implementing the latest technological solutions, and providing people in Austria with the opportunity to \u201csee without glasses\u201d in the safest and most comfortable way.<\/span><\/p>\n
